DESCRIPTION:Confidential computing is a family of techniques to enhance sec
urity\nand confidentiality for data in use. One technical approach is str
ong\nisolation for virtual machines.\n\nAMDs Secure Encrypted Virtualizati
on (SEV) offers several feature sets\nfor isolation of guest virtual machi
nes from an non-trusted host hypervisor\nand operating system. These feat
ure sets include memory encryption\,\nencryption of guest state including
CPU registers and an attestation\nframework.\n\nIn this talk we will explo
re some of the AMD SEV feature sets. We will\ndescribe how to use them to
  run OpenBSD as both\n\n - a confidential guest VM and\n - a host hypervis
or providing a confidential execution environment.\n\nTopics covered are C
PU feature detection\, low level kernel initialization\,\nmemory managemen
 t\, virtio(4) device drivers and the virtual machine\ndaemon vmd(8).
